Non Aesthetic application of Laser

Laser technology is more commonly known for its use in skin resurfacing and rejuvenation in the aesthetic world.

Laser technology is more commonly known for its use in skin resurfacing and rejuvenation in the aesthetic world.

However, there are many other applications of laser particularly for medical conditions.

In the clinic we have Er:Yag laser technology with the wavelength 2940 which has gyanaecological applications that can be applied for treatment of vaginal atrophy (common in post menopausal women due to lack of oestrogen). Another application of Er:Yag has been its use in snoring and sleep apnoea. For snoring, it’s important to select the suitable candidate to benefit from this treatment.  These treatments are painless, take about 30 minutes to perform and require no social downtime. They are safe treatments with no side effects. The results are long lasting but both require a maintenance treatment program. Due to these factors, use of Er:Yag lasers have been appealing to those who are suitable to receive these treatments under professional supervision.

The Er:Yag laser is also used for cosmetic mole removal. Its always important to have a skin check first by an expert doctor before performing any mole removal procedure.

The Nd: Yag laser can be used for treatment of fungal infections of the toenails and also treatment of viral warts.

In the clinic, we are currently offering Er: Yag laser and the Nd: Yag laser service is not available.

We use laser in our clinic in Canberra for Vaginal Rejuvenation treatments, and to treat Snoring and Sleep Aponea.
